Professional Workshop: Basic Post-Production Workflow in Glyphs

Taller Profesional: Proceso básico de post producción en Glyphs

Do you have a finished typeface or type family, but aren’t sure what you need to do to make sure it works properly once it reaches your users?

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare and finalize a project in Glyphs, using only the parameters and information necessary to make sure your fonts work correctly in the most common applications.

What will we cover?
We’ll review the basic requirements for preparing fonts for MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Apple Creator Studio, web browsers, Windows, and macOS.

We’ll also learn how to identify and fix problems that could affect your future users, using basic graphical tools to detect errors and verify that your fonts are working correctly.

The workshop will be primarily hands-on. We won’t go too deeply into technical details, and you don’t need any knowledge of Python or the command line: all the tools we’ll use have a graphical interface. Along the way, we’ll also look at where to find additional information so you can continue exploring on your own.

Who is it for?
This workshop is intended for people who have already designed a typeface or type family and want to learn how to finalize it and prepare it for real-world use.

This is a beginner-level workshop, so no previous experience with programming or command-line tools is required.
