We are a collective that celebrates typography. Letrástica is a collaborative, non-profit platform dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of typography, type design, design, and graphic arts.
We aim to keep the conversation about letterforms and their crafts alive, connecting professionals, students, and enthusiasts in a shared space for learning, exchange, and enjoyment.
Our objectives are:
Connect
Share regional work in type design from the Mexican and Latin American community with professionals from other parts of the world.
Guide
Create spaces for appreciation, training, and exchange outside traditional academic settings and decentralize access to typographic knowledge through our chapters.
Diversify
Promote inclusion and plurality within the professional community and across generations.
Share
Facilitate access to tools, training, and knowledge related to typography and type design to support professional development.
Invite
Bring together and expand the community of professionals, students, and typography, calligraphy, lettering, and design enthusiasts.
Chapters and Community
Letrástica has grown and is now present in several cities in Mexico, where it promotes activities and meaningful content for each local community.
Letrástica Community
In addition to the chapters, Letrástica maintains open online spaces for the exchange of ideas, resources, and learning about typography and letter design.
Events and Activities
Letrástica maintains a dynamic calendar of exhibitions, talks, workshops, tours, mentorships, and gatherings throughout the year.
Through its chapters and community, Letrástica organizes ongoing activities for learning and engagement. Its main event is the Letrástica Festival, which has been held every two years in Guadalajara since 2015 and has become one of the most important typography events in Latin America.
