Exposición colectiva de Letrástica 6 Convocatoria abierta

Letrástica 6 Collective Exhibition  Open Call

Letrástica Festival is pleased to announce the open call for the collective exhibition of Letrástica 5, to be held in October 2026 in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Designers, artists, and practitioners are invited to submit representative work in type design, lettering, sign painting, calligraphy, or any other form of letter-based design under the following conditions:

  1. Submissions may include alphabets, individual glyphs, type specimens, calligraphic compositions, letterform experiments, signs, lettering pieces, letterpress prints, or any other form of letter-based design.
  2. For unpublished work, we suggest using the theme "Type Is Here / Letras aquí."
  3. All selected works will be exhibited as posters measuring 60 × 80 cm.
  4. Participants must submit print-ready PDF files in CMYK color mode.
  5. Bitmap images should be prepared at an appropriate resolution for high-quality printing.
  6. Printing will be handled by the festival organizers.
  7. Approximately 35 works will be selected for exhibition. Selection will be based not only on quality and originality but also on diversity, representation, and inclusion.
  8. Each individual or collective may submit up to two different works.
  9. If a submission involves direct printing in a non-digital format (e.g., letterpress printing) or consists of an original physical work, the participant must contact the organizing team to discuss the format and determine whether the work can be included in the exhibition, as well as the conditions for its participation. Any shipping costs and related logistics are the sole responsibility of the participant. Please note that the festival does not provide insurance coverage for original artworks against loss or damage.
  10. Participants must submit only work of which they are the author(s). In the case of collaborative or derivative work, all appropriate credits must be included, and permission from any co-authors must be obtained prior to submission.
  11. By submitting work, participants grant permission for it to be exhibited during the festival and in future traveling exhibitions organized by Letrástica. Such exhibitions will always be non-commercial and educational in nature, and all works will be properly credited.
  12. After the scheduled exhibitions conclude, the complete exhibition, except for unique, non-reproducible works, will become part of the permanent Letrástica collection.
  13. The festival is committed to preserving the submitted works, maintaining their integrity, and preventing unauthorized use. Selected posters may also be included in a digital catalog made available through the festival's official channels and repositories.
  14. All participants whose work is selected will receive a certificate of participation from the organizing committee.
