Professional workshop: Letters as shapes

Taller Cyrus Highsimth

[Nota importante: Si bien, Cyrus habla español, este taller será impartido en inglés. No habrá servicio de traducción.]

Description

Letters are traditionally thought about in terms of calligraphic strokes or marks. Letters can also be thought about in terms of shape. Type designer and graphic artist, Cyrus Highsmith, has developed a series of hands-on exercises that explore making and seeing shape-based letters. These methods can be applied to designing typefaces, adding new dimensions to a calligraphic practice, and even lead to different way of observing the world.
